DASH7: Sensing On The Move

A new wireless sensor networking standard, DASH7, promises to become ubiquitous in phones, cars and homes, enabling RFID-like identification while communicating through walls. It’s similar to Zigbee, which uses the crowded 2.4 GHz band. DASH7, however, uses 433 MHz, a much lower frequency that travels further with less interference.
